What is a Dental Fissure Sealant?
7 Oct 2021
A fissure sealant is a thin, protective coating made from a tooth-coloured resin material. It is applied to the chewing surfaces of the back teeth—the molars and premolars—specifically into the deep grooves (fissures) and small hollows (pits) where decay often begins. Just as every person has a unique physical build, dental anatomy varies significantly between individuals. Some people have naturally deeper pits and fissures, which can make these teeth more susceptible to the accumulation of plaque and bacteria. Our dental practitioners or oral health therapists assess each patient’s teeth to determine if sealants are a suitable preventative measure.
Understanding Tooth Enamel Loss and Preservation
1 Oct 2021
Tooth enamel is the outermost layer of the tooth—the visible part that protects the inner structures. Enamel is the hardest substance in the human body, designed to shield the more vulnerable layers underneath. Maintaining a healthy layer of enamel is essential for supporting tooth strength and reducing the risk of sensitivity, fractures, and decay.

23 Mar 2021
When several teeth in a row are missing, it can impact both dental function and the stability of the remaining teeth. At Bond St, we utilise implant-supported bridges as a fixed restorative option to address these gaps without requiring the preparation of neighbouring natural teeth.
Understanding Root Canal Therapy (Endodontic Treatment)
23 Mar 2021
Root canal therapy is a restorative procedure designed to save a tooth that has been affected by deep decay, trauma, or infection. At Bond St, our dental team focuses on preserving your natural teeth whenever clinically possible.

Dental restorations are utilised to repair teeth affected by decay, wear, or minor fractures. Modern dentistry offers a range of materials designed to support tooth structure while maintaining a natural appearance.
Managing a Single Missing Tooth: The Role of Dental Implants
23 Mar 2021
Losing a tooth can impact both the function and the long-term health of your smile. However, modern dental technology offers reliable restorative options, such as dental implants, to address these gaps effectively.
