Clinical Assessment & Personalised Treatment Planning
At Bond St, every microneedling procedure begins with a mandatory clinical consultation. During this session, your practitioner, Yael Gordon, Registered Nurse, will assess your skin health and facial anatomy to develop an evidence informed plan aligned with your specific clinical needs.
We provide microneedling as a non surgical option designed to address textural concerns and visible changes in skin integrity. Our evidence informed approach focuses on the appearance of fine lines, texture irregularities, and scarring. Whether you are seeking to address skin texture or general skin health, our clinical team will guide you through each stage of your treatment journey.
Our approach is medically guided, ensuring your treatment plan is reviewed and adapted as your skin health evolves over time.
Important Information: A consultation is required to determine suitability for any aesthetic procedure. All medical procedures carry risks. Outcomes vary between individuals based on skin type and age.

FAQs
What is Microneedling and How Does It Work?
Microneedling is a regulated procedure that uses sterile, fine needles to induce controlled micro-injuries in the skin. This process is performed by Yael Gordon, Registered Nurse, and is designed to support the skin’s natural renewal process. By stimulating the underlying structure of the skin, the procedure helps manage concerns such as texture irregularities, scarring, and visible signs of ageing.
How Long Does the Procedure Take?
The Microneedling procedure typically lasts 30–60 minutes.
Is Microneedling Painful?
The procedure is performed with the aim of achieving patient comfort. The controlled use of fine needles is monitored by your practitioner.
What is the Required Pre-Care Before Treatment?
To support a stable clinical environment and your subsequent recovery, we provide comprehensive guidance during your initial assessment. There are several preparatory steps recommended to ensure your skin is in a suitable state for treatment.
Two Weeks Prior We recommend pausing the use of active skincare formulations and specific Vitamin A derivatives to allow the skin to rest. Detailed instructions on which topical products to temporarily discontinue will be provided by Yael Gordon, Registered Nurse, during your consultation.
48 Hours Prior It is important to avoid excessive sun exposure and tanning beds in the lead-up to your appointment. During your clinical assessment, we will also discuss any dietary supplements or common over-the-counter medications that may influence the skin’s response to the procedure.
Is There Any Downtime After Microneedling?
While microneedling is a non-surgical clinical procedure, dedicated post-treatment care is essential for supporting your recovery. Following the treatment, it is common for the skin to experience temporary redness or sensitivity; these are standard clinical responses that typically resolve as the skin heals.
When Is Microneedling Not Suitable?
Microneedling is not suitable for individuals with active acne, open wounds, eczema, psoriasis, or skin infections in the treatment area. It is also not suitable for individuals with certain medical conditions; these must be discussed with Yael Gordon, Registered Nurse, during your mandatory clinical assessment.
Can I Have Microneedling if I Get Cold Sores?
It is essential to discuss your full medical history with your practitioner during your consultation. If you have a history of certain skin conditions, such as facial cold sores, please notify Yael Gordon, Registered Nurse.
During your assessment, your practitioner will provide clinical guidance on how to manage these concerns in relation to your procedure. This may include recommendations for specific preparatory steps or referrals to support a stable recovery and minimize the risk of a localized flare-up.
