What is the cost and procedure for All-On-4 Dental Implant Technique?

How Does All-On-4 Work Exactly?
Conventional dentures (even with adhesive) generally restore only 10% of chewing function, while bone-anchored All-on-4 prosthesis restores 60-80% in similar evaluations. If your looking for an immediate and affordable solution to wearing conventional dentures contact us at Bond Street.
All-On-4® dental implants enable the patient to enjoy the full functioning of their dental implants immediately. The dental implants are inserted with unique drilling protocols, which ensure the best possible stability for the implants as well as the abutments and replacement teeth. During the All-On-4® procedure, the oral surgeon will insert a total of four dental implants in the upper or the lower jaw, depending on the needs of the patient. The dental prosthesis with a minimum of twelve teeth (also referred to as the bridge) will be resting on those four dental implants.
Why Should I Choose All-On-4® Dental Implants Instead of Other Treatments?
The All-On-4® dental implants have the ability to immediately improve the quality of life of the patient, which is quite different from other treatments. Patients who choose other treatment options usually have to wait a few months before they can test out their dental implants and enjoy their replacement teeth. With All-On-4® dental implants, the patient can test the dental implants right away.
Once the patient has the dental implants and temporary replacement teeth inserted in the jawbone, the patient will notice an immediate improvement in speech, function and of course their smile. Patients who were experiencing problems with speech or chewing due to missing teeth will instantly notice the changes with the All-On-4® dental implants and will no longer have to rely on a temporary teeth replacement solution.
The All-On-4® treatment requires a lot less time than the average treatment for replacement teeth. The actual surgery time is also a lot shorter than most treatments, given the fact that the surgeon only has to insert four dental implants.
All-On-4® dental implants are perfect even for patients who have limited amounts of jawbone. These patients often have to undergo expensive and extensive bone grafting treatments before they can even be considered for dental implants, however, All-On-4® dental implants can even be inserted in a patient with a minimum amount of jawbone. All-On-4® dental implants guarantee the best stability by using longer implants for the posterior of the jaw.
The All-On-4® procedure is also often less expensive than other teeth replacement procedures. The reason why All-On-4® dental implants are more affordable is the fact that the implants do not require additional bone grafting and the procedure itself is less invasive.
What Patients Could Benefit the Most from All-On-4® Dental Implants?
The perfect candidate for the All-On-4® dental implants is usually wearing dentures and may need new dentures in the future or someone with several teeth falling out or missing teeth.
There is no real age restriction connected to the All-On-4® dental implants, so the treatment can be executed in patients of all ages. However, patients under the age of eighteen are not eligible for the treatment just yet. The bone tissue is still developing in these patients and we require the bone tissue to be fully developed in order to benefit from these dental implants.
To determine if you are a good candidate for the procedure, we recommend booking a consultation at Bond Street Dental. An oral surgeon or dentist at our facility will be able to evaluate your dental health and explain all your options to you. Based on the information we are able to supply you with during your consultation, you will be able to decide if the All-On-4® treatment is the right choice for you.
We also provide information about the All-On-4® treatment at our free information evenings. Patients can reserve a seat at one of these free information evenings by filling in the registration form on the Bond Street Dental website.
Are Permanent Teeth Attached On the Day of the Surgery?
Permanent teeth will not be attached on the day of the surgery. Instead, the oral surgeon will attach temporary teeth to the dental implants. The reason for this is we need the mouth to be fully healed before we complete the process – this is usually done during a follow-up, which can be arranged between six to eight months after the initial surgery.
How Should I Maintain My New Teeth?
Dental implants should be cleaned like normal teeth. Bond Street Dental recommends daily brushing and flossing to guarantee the cleanliness of the replacement teeth and the health of your gums.
Once you have your replacement teeth, it is recommended to book a regular appointment with your dental hygienist. Even though there is no special cleaning required, your new teeth should be considered as real teeth. A good clean executed by a dental hygienist will ensure that your mouth, teeth and gums stay in excellent health.
What Are the Costs of the Procedure?
The costs of the All-On-4® procedure is variable and depends on the amount of teeth that need to be replaced. When you come to Bond Street Dental for a consultation, the dentist or oral surgeon will be able to tell you how much the procedure is going to cost.
Even though All-On-4® dental implants are less expensive than normal dental implants, it can still be quite an investment. In order to give every patient access to the All-On-4® dental implants, Bond Street Dental provides patients with various payment plans and payment options. To find out more about these payment plans, please visit our “Payment Plans” page, which can be found under the “Patient Services” tab.
The decision to obtain All-On-4® is always a personal one, because many patients are eligible for the procedure. In most cases, patients choose to obtain All-On-4® do so because they want a more permanent alternative than dentures. Patients with dentures can often experience problems such as sore gums and loose dentures, in which case an All-On-4® treatment could provide the solution.
