Porcelain crown or “cap” is a restoration that covers, or “caps”, a tooth to restore it to its normal shape and size, strengthening and improving the appearance of a tooth.

Procedure
First appointment: At the first visit the teeth are prepared to make room for the crown or cap. An impression (or mould) is then taken of the prepared tooth for porcelain crown fabrication by Omega Ceramics Dental Laboratory. You will visit the laboratory and meet the ceramist where your teeth will be accurately colour matched. Temporary crowns are made to protect your teeth whilst the porcelain crowns are made.
Second appointment: At the subsequent appointment, the temporary crown is removed and the final porcelain crown is permanently cemented into place.
